Troy Captures Lead Early To Defeat North Crowley Varsity 2018/Panthers Varsity
North Crowley Varsity 2018/Panthers Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-0 loss to Troy on Saturday. Troy scored on a single by Kacey Rose in the first inning, a single by Alyssa Kelley in the first inning, and a double by Alyssa Russell in the second inning.
The North Crowley Varsity 2018/Panthers Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Troy, giving up eight runs.
Troy opened up scoring in the first inning. Rose singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
A single by Jalynn Isles in the second inning was a positive for North Crowley Varsity 2018/Panthers Varsity.
Kelley led things off on the hill for Troy. She went seven innings, allowing zero runs on five hits and striking out one.
MaKayla Gonzales toed the rubber for North Crowley Varsity 2018/Panthers Varsity. She went six innings, allowing eight runs on 13 hits, striking out one and walking zero.
Carloine Tomlin, Lauren Ramos, Isles, Gonzales, and Nariah Mathews each managed one hit to lead North Crowley Varsity 2018/Panthers Varsity.
