Multiple Teams · Panther Tennis Stumbles Against Arl. Lamar

The NCHS Panthers hosted the Lamar Vikings at home on Tuesday for their home district opener. The Panthers were coming off their district win vs Arlington High and were hoping to carry the momentum with them into Tuesday’s match, but the Vikings had other plans. The doubles team got off to a slow start and couldn’t bounce back. The boys and girls doubles went  1-6, with Seniors Abrian Johnson and Maria Martinez pulling out the only win in the 2 doubles. The Panthers were hoping to turn things around in the singles but the momentum from the doubles was too strong and the boys and girls singles went 1-11 with freshmore Maddy Miller pulling out the only win in the singles. The NCHS Panthers will hope to get back on the winning track when they host the Arlington Bowie Volunteers at home Tuesday, September 12. Go Panther Nation.
