Multiple Teams · Boys Cross Country Finishes 2nd & Girls Set Individual Bests

The Running Panthers varsity boys travelled to Granbury for the “Race for the Loot” last Friday. The Panthers showed their depth as they were competing without top senior Manny Wekesa who was gone on a college visit. The Panthers still managed a second place finish, led by junior A.G. George who finished second in a blistering 15:35. The top five Panthers finished in the top 30 out of 150 runners. The Panther’s are now primed and ready to travel to Joe Pool Lake for Thursday’s District 4-6A meet.

The Lady Panthers managed a 12th place finish and were led by Toiya Smith who finished with a personal best time of 21:59. In fact, several of the lady Panthers had their best times of the year. The Lady Panthers will also travel to Joe Pool Lake for the District 4-6A meet on Thursday.
